Left Navigation Items

Image Guidelines:

  • Navigate the image guide using the left navigation panel. Click to select items that you are interested in.
  • These are single or compilations of pages changed since an image guide was published. They are organized by guide. Updates accumulate over the course of a year and will be archived by year. At the end of each year, updates are incorporated into image guides, and this section will be re-set (it will not appear since it will be empty). Update sets (by year) can be downloaded and printed to update hardcopy manuals.
  • Supplemental guidelines are compilations of pages drawn from one or more image guides along with added unique content that together provide focused information around a useful topic. Use them in the same way as guidelines.

Pagination and Return to Section Links:

  • At Guidelines there is an additional navigation bar at the top of the main content area used to browse image guides.
  • Use the "previous page" and "next page" buttons to browse.
  • At the far left of the top navigation bar is a yellow icon that links to the chapter table of contents.

Enlarging Illustrations, Graphics and Pictures:

  • To enlarge a particular diagram or illustration, click on the item in question. This will open a new window with the enlargement. Close the new window by clicking on the enlarged image.

  • If you already have Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat reader installed, or if you are using Mac OS X, the pdf document should open in your browser.
  • If you are unable to view the pdf, you will need to install Adobe Acrobat or the free Adobe Acrobat reader to view and print the PDF document. You can download the free Acrobat reader here:
    http://www.adobe.com/downloads/.
  • Depending upon your browser configuration, you may have to save the document to your computer to view and/or print it using Adobe software.
  • Generating a PDF for an entire chapter or complete guideline manual may take several minutes as the system generates the document. Please be patient! Additionally, large files can take significant time to download depending on your type of connection (dial-up, wi-fi, broad band etc). A dialog box will appear advising you about the estimated download time.
